Description This publication is mostly a first-hand account of how a few of these individuals obtained influence over shares and debentures of the old WHR (1922) Co which, due to complicated legalities surrounding it, still existed despite the fact that its track had been torn up more than forty years previously. In the 1980s, this was a much-contested and crucial action in preserving the trackbed, thus facilitating the later restoration of the WHR between Porthmadog and Caernarfon
